Pinoy Pride Basketball League

Saturday 10/8, we had the defending champs, Bruisers taking on the seasoned veterans in Bay Area Fresh. The game started off with a lot of offense and both teams looked to establish their dominance in the paint. Bay Area Fresh began the game in a good rhythm, thanks to their 3-headed monster in former MVP's Ping, Arnold and "the Moose" John. But ultimately, the defense of the Bruisers proved to be too strong. As the game progressed, the Bruisers held Bay Area Fresh to low scoring and took away their spirit with their intense defense led by the "G-Man" Andrew, and Finals MVP Jerome. The duo became the undoing for the Bay Area Fresh as Jerome and Andrew both racked up 26 points each, and sucked the energy out of Bay Area Fresh leading to a 71-50 blowout. The Bruisers made history in the league as being the first back-to-back champs, and the second team to go undefeated. Congratulations to Bay Area Fresh for a good effort, and congratulations to the Bruisers for winning the championship!
