On Sunday 10/9, we had the #1 seed Cookies taking on the #6 seed Hit 'N Run. Cookies, led by season MVP "Air" Colin had to fight intensely for the championship. The game was everything as expected, fast paced and full of action. Both teams' star players struggled in the first half, and the game changed leads multiple times. In the second half, Hit 'N Run was able to keep the game close thanks to Gilo who scored 16 of his 20 points in the second half, and an unexpected contribution from Preston. But, they had to work hard as Finals MVP, Quinlin, played excellent defense and was absolutely relentless on the glass as well. With a minute left, Hit 'N Run were down 3 possessions, and brought the game down to a 2 point deficit with 1.2 seconds to go. Team captain Tan was fouled and got sent to the line for a 1-and-1 free throw opportunity to score, and ultimately came up short in a valiant effort. Congratulations to Hit 'N Run for showing perseverance and congratulations to Cookies for winning the championship!
