SEASON 3 CHAMPIONS!
Congratulations to the Lifers for winning the 3rd season PPBL championship! In a game that featured the number 1 offense vs the number 1 defense, defense ultimately prevails in these types of games. The Lifers, boasting the number 1 defense in the league, shut down the number 1 offensive team (ATM) in this championship game. The Lifers jumped on ATM early in the game with their trademark full court press. They had a very favorable lead after the first quarter and never looked back. Every time ATM tried to cut down the lead, the Lifers answered back with a run of their own. The Lifers did not take any plays off in this game and proved they wanted this championship more. Wilson took home the Finals MVP trophy with his performance, scoring 20 points, 9 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal, 1 block and anchoring this pesky Lifers defense. He also gave Regular Season MVP Joaquin lots of trouble, holding him to only 9 points. This team proved that defense wins championships! So once again, congratulations to the Lifers!

REGULAR SEASON STATS: 18.1 PPG, 7.1 RPG, 4.4 APG, 1.4 SPG.
Joaquin earned the MVP this season with his stellar play and consistency. He helped lead his team (ATM) to an undefeated record (7-0) in the regular season. He's one of the top scorers in the league with his ability to create his own shots, finish at the rim or shooting from distance. He's also one of the best at creating opportunites for his teammates shown by his 4.4 APG. Joaquin does it at the defensive end as well, harrassing other players and creating turnovers. He played great the entire season, which is one of the reasons his team has an undefeated record. Without Joaquin his team is still a playoff team, but having Joaquin makes this team a legitimate contender to win the championship! Congratulations once again for the award!
